HORSE REPORT FOR MONDAY, JULY 19, 2010

SOLD 405 HEAD - We  packed the barn  inside and out.  Big Buyer interest with Buyers registering in from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, Nebraska and all across South Dakota.  Lots of  People out shopping for the good looking, dependable all around Family & Ranch horse.  Our Horse Brokers, Dealers &  Order Buyers are looking for horses with those same qualities & they will pay the price for the right kind. Geldings the preferred gender, however, if that mare is exceptional for looks and performance horse use, she too will sell high.  Big boned, well muscled, pretty headed geldings, broke the very best, with top notch pedigree the easiest to sell.  Color a big plus.   We can always use more to meet the demand.

Mark your calendars now for our BIG 2-Day Horse Sale Extravaganza on Sept 19^th & 20^th .!!  (No sale in August)  The Sunday sale is Featuring the Annual Fall Miniature Horse & Pony Sale at noon noon , along with the  Paint & Quarter Breeders Production Reduction sale  at 4 PM.  Regular sale for non-catalogued horses follows both sales.  The  Monday sale features the 20^th Annual Fall Performance Catalogue Horse Sale. Consign now for a early selling turn to any of these sales.

Loose Horses – Sold 251 Head. The top ten Loose Horses averaged $813 topping out at $1275, which was a AQHA blue roan broodmare.  Another AQHA palomino broodmare sold for $1000.  There is hope in the breeding industry yet. These were big shapey mares, that just dropped in at the loose sale, with no pre-advertising.  Just goes to show, good horses sell good, no matter what time of the day.  Our well educated Buyers know the difference. Our volume sale brings in a full house of Buyers.  Seats always full.  Note – we apologize for the long wait in the trailer lineup in unloading for the loose sale the past 2 months. We are making changes to alleviate some of this.  Do remember, the big rush of trailers arrives about 10:30 AM, so to avoid it come earlier.  We are here at 7:30 AM to ck in.

Weigh ups & Feeders Horses  (7% commission- $30 minimum)

Rope Cattle – Sold 52 Head.  No. 1 fresh rope cattle sold $325 to $360,  No. 2 fresh rope cattle sold $285 to $300.  Good used rope cattle, 575 lb sold $310.

HORSE DELIVERY HOURS 

Sunday – 1 PM to  7 PM           (later by appointment only)
Sale Day – 7 AM – 1 PM

We are open on Sunday prior to sale day starting at 1 pm to 9 pm for delivery of horses for our Monday sales. ( Delivery on Sunday or before 9:30 am on Mondays, will avoid a lineup wait)

**If  arriving after these hours, please call ahead and we will accommodate.  If horse is registered, bring papers, with signed transfer,  to gate at time of delivery.  Check if markings match.

Reminder:  7% Commission on Loose Horses($30 minimum). Sell your loose horses at the leading loose horse sale in the country!.  Always a full house of Buyers on the seats during our loose horse sale.  If your horse is registered, bring papers & signed transfer to check in gate at time of delivery.  Markings will be checked for match.
